Bumfiddler George Marie Port Townsend Rose Theater Letter to the Editor Regarding Reverend Crystal Cox's Ethics Complaint against Mayor David Faber. "the Rev" Responds in Good Ol' Fashioned "Old English" Fun.

 George Marie's Letter to the Editor was Quite Theatrical, not being a Game of Thrones watcher, I had to look up the quote and parties to get the full perspective. 

Turned out the "Her" in Tell HER I DID IT was the One that WON the Proverbial Battle. Hmmm.. Odd Quote to Use when at the End of Scene, the character I am to be seemed to have been better off.

So, anyway, I decided to follow up with some old English words, that one would have to look up to decipher. Enjoy!!!

“An allegation has moved forward against our mayor alleging that he conspired with an “activist group” to keep anti-trans activists from entering a city council meeting.


In the words of Olenna Tyrell from Game of Thrones,

“Tell her I did it. I want her to know it was me.”


When I discovered that an anti-trans rally was to take place at Pope Marine Park on the day the city council was to offer a proclamation in support of a vulnerable community, I reached out to my vast network of friends, colleagues, neighbors, political leaders, community leaders, teachers, doctors, therapists, business owners and otherwise with a single intent: bring in as many voices of support for the proclamation as possible. We showed up to support our wonderful trans and nonbinary friends, neighbors and community members.


To be clear, I did not conspire with anyone on the city council in this effort. I did ask a city council member — not David Faber — how many people would be allowed into the building for a council meeting.


I was told by the council person that whoever could not attend in person would be able to attend online.


On the day of the event, people began lining up at Port Townsend City Hall hours before the event. While an anti-trans rally proceeded across the street, hundreds came together to form a line around the block, dancing and blowing bubbles, all there to make sure that love outweighed hate and fear.


Of course, I did not do this alone, and neither am I a leader of an “activist group.” I’m just one person who supports the rights of trans and nonbinary people to exist, to make decisions over their own bodies, and to live free from prejudice, discrimination and fear. I know a lot of other people who agree with me, and they also know a lot of people, and it turns out the vast majority of people agree with us.

Bumfiddler George Marie confesses to organizing mob to violate the rights of community elders and rape survivors at a permitted PT event, then brags about. 


The record is crystal clear, city officials prejudiced Julie Jaman and let people they aligned with in the back door of city hall to “fill up” the council chambers. 


Public Records are clear that the origin of the RIOT was Libby Wennstrom, who organized massive people, along with her nonprofit Salish Rescue to shut down women speaking at a permitted event on city property.


George Marie can Yowl Mea Culpa all she wants, she was NOT the Origin. Good to know she used her clout to get professionals in the area to join in a lynch mob against vulnerable community members at a permitted event, essentially saying this is ok for any PT event.

They will now ALL Be Plaintiffs in a pending class action Civil Rights Lawsuit.


If I had the power, clout and vast network of cotswolds such as the Ninnyhammer Queen of the Rose does. I would call up my “colleagues, neighbors, political leaders, community leaders, teachers, doctors, therapists, business owners and otherwise with a single intent: bring in as many voices of support” for human rights, love, safety, and dignity for ALL community members equally. Especially the vulnerable elders and rape survivors.


I went to speak on the values of Pride such as:  Diversity, Authenticity, Supporting and Empowering ALL Community Members, Social Justice, Freedom for ALL, Inclusivity for ALL, Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Empathy and NO Bullying of ANY Community Member. 


Everyone has the right to free speech and the right to not be bullied or discriminated against. 


Jaman deserved equal rights. To me it was not a “trans” issue, it was and is a human rights, dignity, free speech, equality and safety issue.

 

Bullying is defined as a wielding of social power to belittle a person or influence a situation. Jaman was absolutely bullied.


It is not a value of Pride to pick and choose which community member gets rights and which do not. It is not a value of Pride to engage in such a taradiddle that led to real world violence and non stop hate to an Elder in our community and her supporters.


I am Bumfuzzled at the Notion of screaming, threatening, hitting, silencing, bullying, defaming elderly women and rape survivors as “love outweighing hate and fear”.


How does a local Snollygoster decide who gets rights, safety, dignity, love, inclusion and who does not?  George Marie does not get to be the Port Townsend Human Rights Gatekeeper.


There have been many speakers and permitted events in PT that I did not align with what they were saying and I never once thought about yelling at them, running them out of town, assaulting them, bullying them or inviting others to do so.


To me there is not one reason, belief or word Jaman could have said to justify hurting, bullying, berating, defaming, outcasting her, a long time elder in our community. Jaman is to be respected, period.


A permitted event in Port Townsend should be safe for all.


Anyone asking city officials for answers were/are met with prevarication.


The Flumadiddle Mob represented the epitome of prejudice, discrimination and fear. The vast majority does not agree with them.

Scientists seek to silence sonar in the Salish Sea

"The following open letter was sent today to Governmental and Naval leaders on both sides of the U.S.-Canada border.  As of 3/11/2012 it has been signed by 20 biologists and bioacousticians who have studied the killer whales of the Salish Sea.  (When sent initially, 16 had signed).

Silence Sonar in the Salish Sea

As biologists and bioacousticians who study killer whales of the Salish Sea, we ask that the U.S. Navy and Canadian Navy cease using sonar in their critical habitat.  

Polluting their environment with intense underwater noise like the “pings” from mid-frequency active sonar poses significant risks to these Federally-listed species.

On February 6, 2012, the Canadian Naval frigate HMCS Ottawa used its sonar system in critical habitat of the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales during a training exercise east of Victoria, B.C. 

The calls of the Southern Residents’ K and L pods were heard 18 hours later in Haro Strait, and sub-groups of K and L pods were identified 36 hours after the sonar use in Discovery Bay – a location where Southern Residents have never been sighted in 22 years of records. 

These observations are reminiscent of an incident in May, 2003, when the USS Shoup’s sonar training exercise caused similar unusual nearshore surface milling behavior of Southern Residents in Haro Strait.

New limits should be put on the use of mid-frequency active (MFA) sonar, particularly in the critical habitat of the Southern Residents.  

Killer whales are sensitive to the frequencies emitted by MFA sonar (2-10 kHz) and use the same frequency range to communicate with calls and whistles.  Because MFA sonar is intense (source levels ~220-235 underwater decibels), it could permanently or temporarily deafen whales that are unexpectedly nearby and thereby impact their ability to forage, navigate, and socialize. 

Even temporary threshold shifts could be deleterious because the recovery of the Southern Residents hinges on their use of echolocation to find, identify, and acquire their primary prey, Pacific salmon.

Current procedures for mitigating underwater military noise are inadequate to protect either the resident or transient ecotypes. 

These procedures depend on the ability to detect whales within 1000 yards (U.S.) or 4000 yards (Canada), which neither passive acoustic listening nor visual surveillance can reliably accomplish. 

The unprecedented sighting of Southern Residents in Discovery Bay suggests that they may have been present during the pre-dawn sonar exercise on February 6 while remaining undetected by the Canadian Navy’s marine mammal monitoring procedures.  

Moreover, we know from the 2003 Shoup incident and the scientific literature that MFA sonar can disrupt marine mammal behavior well beyond the current mitigation distances, particularly in the sound propagation conditions of the Salish Sea.

We therefore urge the U.S. and Canadian Navies to restrict MFA sonar and other intense underwater sound sources in all training and testing conducted in the Salish Sea.  

By protecting the whales’ acoustic habitat, our Navies can help further their respective country’s obligations to ensure the recovery of these endangered iconic populations while still fulfilling their important National security missions.

Port Townsend Paper, Mineral Technologies Looks Like YOU will be Paying a HUGE Tax for Poisoning US. Paying to POLLUTE.

"I had the opportunity to talk with then Congressman Jay Inslee at length at Netroots Nation 2009 in Pittsburgh. We spent most of that time talking about transitioning to sustainable energy.  He coauthored a book about that very subject and named Apollo's Fire.  I read Inslee's book.  Jay Inslee gets it like few other politicians in this country do.
Today as Governor Inslee proposed a Carbon Charge assessing the state's largest GHG emitters when they exceed set emissions levels to help pay for transportation infrastructure projects, in a time when gas taxes are diminishing due to more efficient vehicles and other factors.

After two years of watching gas-tax increases tank in the Legislature, Gov. Jay Inslee proposed Tuesday to take a new approach: Charge major polluters for the right to emit carbon.
Inslee’s plan, featuring a “cap-and-trade” system, would generate $400 million a year, he said, to cover nearly 40 percent of his $12 billion, 12-year transportation improvement plan. The remainder would come from bond debt, existing gas taxes, tolls and an assortment of vehicle fees.
“We can clean our air and water at the same time we are fixing our air and our roads,” Inslee said in Medina, overlooking the 520 construction site. “It is indeed a twofer.”
Inslee, who is spending the week rolling out his budget wish list, is expected to announce further details about his Carbon Pollution Accountability Act, with his full budget proposal to come Thursday.
What the Democratic governor did make clear Tuesday is that in the face of Republican gains in the Legislature, he is holding fast to his idea that climate-change legislation can pay for much of government’s costs.
The governor said he aims to reach across the so-called Cascade Curtain and connect all of Washington through a “bipartisan spirit” that aims to “reduce the hours we spend on the roads away from our families.”
This program would send energy consumers all the signals to help more toward a more sustainable energy system for the state of Washington.
Taxing carbon is a more in the right direction. Last year Republicans blocked passage of a bill with proposed transportation infrastructure projects."

Well if the TRUTH is told and their POLLUTION in our air, soil and water is not covered up by the City of Port Townsend, Jefferson County, the Port Townsend Leader, the Washington EPA and the Washington Department of Ecology WELL then they will buying a multi-billion dollar floating bridge for the State of Washington.

However, for now they seem to be getting away with the LIE thanks to Jefferson County Commissioners, the Port Townsend Leader, one or more insiders at the EPA and the Washington Department of Ecology and the City of Port Townsend.

Washington Gov. Proposes Major Carbon Tax To Fund Pressing Transportation Needs

"Inslee hopes to fund the $12 billion plan with bonds, fees and a carbon charge on the state's industrial polluters. The market-based carbon pollution charge will generate $7 billion over 12 years, he said. The fee will generate the equivalent of a 12 cent gas tax without hurting consumers, he said."

"All of this can be done with "a new and bold idea that will breathe new life" into the state - the polluter's fee, he said.

"We can clean our air and water at the same time we are fixing our air and our roads," he said. "It is indeed a two-for."

And they sure seem to be violating the clean air act and Jefferson County seems to be aiding and abetting this. Rumor has it that one of the County Commissioners is paid in an untraceable account to defend them at all county events, law making sessions and basically to aid and abet.

I say file complaints, lawsuits and even criminal complaints against Port Townsend Paper, Dale Stahl, Roger Hagan, AMCOL, and Minerals Technology Inc.

Expose all people who are aiding and abetting them to
